Learn about inelastic supply. The only reason colleges can charge so much in tuition is because subsidized student loans artificially increases demand. In the US student debt is also non-dischargeable, basically meaning that student loans are a blank check written out to colleges by the government. The correct thing to do is to force colleges to adhere to price ceilings, but the government won't do that because higher education is a big slush fund for politicians. Colleges aren't even for learning anymore. They have 2 administrators per student and grade inflation is rampant. It's daycare for rich kids and special interest groups 99% of the time.
