My issue is that it feels bubbly regardless of tariffs.
The yield curve came out of inversion in late 2024, before Trump and before tariffs.
The economy has been slowing down. Unemployment rising. New homes sitting unsold. Q1 2025 GDP was negative - again this was before tariffs.
Meanwhile P/E multiples are extremely high. The "Buffett indicator" at all-time high. Consumer sentiment crashing. PMI negative.
The new trend is that "nothing ever happens" and that none of this matters but I am very worried.
