Actually, this sold very well, and the reason Square Enix hasn't ever given us a sales update for it is due to the fact that it sold so well that revealing its sales figures would come off as bragging, and they're too humble to stoop so low. It's much more reasonable to stick to celebrating the pitiful 3 million figure that XVI sold or the 2 million figure that DQIIIHD sold rather than eclipse them with Rebirth's massive, girthy sales number
