Baseline game is great. You can play it with everyone, and it's always fun.
Expansions? Each and every one of them just adds clunky bullshit to the game that doesn't improve it in any way. In theory the temple and key expansion changes the dynamics of the game, but that's pure theory, as it's still about first guy to wrap up the challenge winning unless you explicitly set the map to be a wild goose chase (and there is a limit on how many arrangements you can make for that).
Just play baseline, don't get fooled into expansions. Especially since it's super-normie friendly, so you don't want to over-complex it, either, given you are most likely to play it with people that are drunk or never played modern board game before
