idk, I feel like if you're just on your front or your back you really should just have a "put your arms out and raise yourself up" autosystem, especially when it's using the pilots balance. Like walking is more complex than that and both require it to understand the position its body parts are in and where the ground is. Are these guys having to QWOP control their limbs around to try and get up? I could understand damage messing this up and now you have to manually account for that but who the fuck is making a giant robot on legs that can't easily stand back up?
They created a problem they didn't have a solution for yet and now the mechs are beating themselves to death against the ground because they slipped on the pavement just outside the mechbay.
