It's mostly their lower stakes, slice of life movies. I don't get why all of them recently look that though, they made Inside out before and Soul managed to at least look different. Different directors, different mix of artists and yet they all come out having the beanmouth inspired by ghibli/anime look. Luca was outright inspired by it, a ghibli style mockup concept piece even made it into the artbook, and the the name of town Porto Ross was a reference to Porco Rosso. Luca also took inspiration from Aardman for the look of the movie as well, so that explains the look but why do all these other movies kinda look the same?
