Is there really no better way to farming stone than buying these stupid things from this guy the moment it's available?

I swear everything uses way too much material in this game, though man do I feel stupidly rich ever since unlocking pink melons and just being able to casually buy tons of greenifiers and formulizers and then recoup my costs the next day just buy crafting tons of Prelude of Love.
