To be fair, dating dialogue and marriage dialogue was the same in both 4 and 5, so here they decided to just save the romantic dialogue portion for marriage instead and cut it out from the dating phase altogether.

Also there’s still a good 5-10 based post marriage dialogue you can trigger with your spouse, it’s just heavily dependent on RNG and spamming the chat button. 5 to 10 married lines is still more than most Story of Seasons or unmodded Stardew Valley gets so I wouldn’t complain too much.

It’s also still better than 1, 2, and Tides.

Yeah that’s what I said, both 4 and 5 didn’t have different sets of dialogue for dating and married life, Azuma is the same. Only now you can only access said romantic dialogue once you’re married instead of dating, so if anything it gives you more content to look forward to for marriage instead of blowing it’s load right away and having married life be not that different at all from dating.

One thing I appreciate is that they finally confirmed what everyone knew, which is the "Forest of Beginnings" is basically the afterlife. But it does go against the canon that the "weapons" you used in previous games were special and had a spell that returned the monsters to the Forest of Beginnings. In fact the weapons just kill the monsters and they go there because they're dead lol. Always felt like some kiddie shit how they handled death in this series.
