I know that modern Marvel/DC got rid of almost every conservative and even moderate writers/artists/colorists/editors that they could in the late 00s/early 10s. Pretty much a purge, even though a lot of them sold well

And yes, you're absolutely right about quality and how most of it is committee type shit. No doubt, there's "toxic positivity" going on too, where they're afraid of giving any feed back due to whoever's producing it or the message they're trying to push.
Back in the day, PC/DEI shit could actually be good.
