We're talking about 1998 here. VF was basically dead too. Dreamcast port of VF3 was too late.
I actually liked Tekken 3 and MK4 both almost equally but only Tekken got a good looking port. MK4 looked like total shit on consoles and PC. Which was a shame because the arcade version graphics were insane for its time.
