No large company can ever put anything out thats worth a fuck. The reason is simple and obvious to anyone that pays attention. Because of the culture and corporate policy that everyone is bound to, any company that makes enough money will soon reach "critical mass" (the inclusion of an HR department.) At that point, even the hard working psychopaths that would rather chain smoke and put their nose to the grind and crunch all day every day won't be allowed to do what they want due to rigid regulations. On top of that, some of the hardworking psychos will be phased out and replaced by diversity. Worst of all is that when a company is at "critical mass" all decisions must pass through indecisive committees instead of being forced through by a single coke snorting sexpest that built the company in the first place with nothing but dreams and speed. Due to a horribly oversaturated market, even a half decent derivative indie title is unlikely because anyone with the brains and talent would be wise to save it for another time in another place. A total crash/death of the industry is actually the only hope for another renaissance l, but rest assured the cycle will repeat forever.
