Nintendo became Apple. Their fans are deranged and will literally defend any slop they shit out. I used to be a massive Nintendo fan during the NES-GCN era. These type of deranged fans were very uncommon back then. If Nintendo fucked up, they would admit it and demand better. But ever since the Wii-era something changed. Nintendo became a company capable of doing no wrong in the eyes of the "nu-Nintendo" fans. Wii was when I checked out. I hated the subpar graphics and the casualization of everything. I bought both a Xbox 360 and a PS3 that generation instead. My experience with the Wii came from playing it at a friend's house. It was an awful console with pretty much no redeeming factors. Even though I was a loyal Nintendo fan up until that point, I could not justify the act of buying literal garbage. I don't know what happened, but suddenly around that point Nintendo fans became unable to admit the faults of their precious corporation. They treat Nintendo as if they are a beloved family member who they'll defend to the death if you so much as criticize anything they do.
