Yea, watching the early seasons of the show while drinking recently really reminded me how wacky and retarded it used to be. Aliens, Satan and Sadam, etc. It used to be a fun show but it did become a political soap box for Matt and Trey ages ago, but that can't be helped - they got older, stopped doing drugs and got deeply involved in Hollywood. The saddest part is that we're still stuck with South Park as the central pillar of american satirical cartoons, because fucking nothing of value has been made in a decade+
