>a video game series comes back after a long hiatus
>it sucks
Is it preferable to not getting new video games?
did south park come back already? my cousin told me it was getting new eps soon but i havent been paying attention. signing the contract to do all those one hour specials was a horrible idea, and you can tell they realized it after one or two of them
>>716404275it's back and the white house got so offended by the first episode they released an official statement criticizing the show
>>716404345oh, thats a good thing. south park is meant to be offensive, and the current white house is so has such thin skinned i'm not surprised they are bitching, its probably not even that serious/crude. they probably just something "antisemitic"
would be funny if this show got pulled off the air like colbert, lmao
>>716404550the episode shits on trump a lot, calls him a retarded faggot multiple times and shows him in a sexual relationship with satan
>>716404210 (OP)pic not related I assume, great game
>>716404345/pol/ spergs mostly hated it if anything. Like /tv/ wants it cancelled outright.
>>716404626SoT and FBH are both good, apparently the Snow day game sucks ass. And so did Phone Destroyer, for obvious reasons.
>>716404605lol, that sounds like we're right back to 90s south park. they kinda gave up on doing the Mr Garrison trump jokes for a while there after everyone told them it was getting old, but I guess they couldn't help themselves with everything thats been going on and had to go back to topical shitposting. I'll watch the ep sometime this weekend
Stick Of Truth > Fractured But Whole
>>716404605Do they have a specific problem with him or is it just the usual derangement syndrome?
>>716407547mostly about him being extremaly fragile and forcing jesus stuff
>>716407368Goes without saying now a days. Really highlights how focusing on the kids for plot points was more comfy than Matt and Trey self inserting on Randy and Gerald.
Can't believe they went 3D again, but worse than the 64 games in aesthetics. And that's not even a hot take, even amongst normies.
All they had to do was Fun With Weapons beat'm'up.
>>716407547I'm guessing the specific problem is that nobody cares about SP anymore, but now everyone's talking about it again, so.
>>716407547Throwing lawsuits at stuff he doesn’t like was a big thing.
The episode ends with Trump suing South Park (the town) and forcing them to do Trump ads as recompense.
The other joke is basically just calling Trump a retarded faggot, and the whole episode felt like it was prepping for a swift cancellation, with how it ends on Cartman and Butters trying to kill themselves.
>>716404210 (OP)Are you too scared to talk about South Park on /tv/?
>>716404210 (OP)>Season long arcs shitting on Trump during his first term.>Uhh, yeah that wasn't funny. We are no longer making jokes about the president>Zero jokes about Biden>First episode since Trump is back in office>Immediately start making jokes about the presidentReally? At least the first term jokes was uniquely South Park with having Garrison as the stand in.
Also fuck Matt for Snow Day.
>>716404550>modern South Park>antisemiticYou clearly haven't been watching.
>>716407929If I could have had a final boss with Let’s Fighting Love as the theme, I’d be so happy.
>>716408675>HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE DEAR LEADER OFF TO THE GULAG
>>716404275It made fun of Chuddies and Trunpk so NOW south park is bad according to them and not when the whole tegridy farms shit started.
Also I really fucking enjoyed Stick of Truth and really wish I played it when it came out. I have Fractured But Whole but haven't started it yet. Also have Snow Days but that one is kinda weak.
>>716408675>Snow DayI feel like the only person in the universe that actually really enjoyed Snow Day. glad to finally have another 3D South Park game after like 25 years. I just wish it had more content.
>>716408675Good. FuckTrump for cutting assistance to my mom's celebral palsy meds and killing my uncle who served and needed therapy. He only funds Epstein's friends and Israel.
>>716408828>Fractured But Whole but haven't started it yetIt's alright overall. Presentation wise it's stronger but the game felt way longer than it needed to be.
>>716409085He has Many-many powers....
>>716408675South Park commentates on interesting current events.
Trump jokes, like Bush and Obama jokes before it, got played out and the majority of them stopped before all of their first terms had even ended.
Nothing interesting happened under Biden and South Park’s release schedule was weird at the time. You can tell by the events they actually had- another Covid related set of specials, the streaming service specials, the Ozempic special, the woke one, even had an episode about the Russian war.
Nothing Biden did was enough to carry an entire episode or even the b plot of one. Meanwhile, Trump is having effects on the people who are bankrolling South Park.
The episode wasn't that good. I'm not even a MAGA but the "Trump is actually Saddam and his penis is really, really small" gag drawn out over 30 minutes wasnt funny at all.
>>716404605It was the sadam hussain character. They played the "i can change" song in the background and everything.
>>716404345It was a weak response, I expect them to do something like stop the merger or make demands but they just said the show sucks. It was basically the end of cartoon wars where the taliban make a cartoon and says "that's much funnier than family guy."
>>716408828Fractured has better boss fights, but overall it feels like much more of a chore.
For example, the traversals in Stick took a second, while in fractured you have to complete QTEs/button mashes every single time
Also, I just found Stick to be funnier. The police station was the only time fractured managed to match it
>>716409113Yeah that's what I heard. I'm not surprised they didn't make anything after that cus Snow Days is by THQ or some shit
>>716404210 (OP)How much of a contrarian do you have to be to say you hate Stick of Truth? Even Fractured but Whole is still decent. Snow Day is the game that sucks.
>They said the network informed them that the image of the president’s genitalia—which appeared during a mock PSA depicting a AI-generated Trump where he is fully naked—would get blurred out.
>Parker claimed he pushed back, saying “No, you’re not gonna blur the penis,” before Stone pointed out that they added eyes to the genetalia to tackle that.
>Stone then said this was followed by a conversation “with a lot of grown-up” people for four days, insisting that the network can’t blur the genitalia because it was a “character.”
Okay that’s pretty funny
it was ok its way funnier than the garrison shit even if it is just a rehash of an existing joke
>>716408675Trump has a big lolcow career since he first stepped onto the spotlight. I don't get why that's hard to understand for some people.
>>716404210 (OP)>>716404275>The new episode is Cartman being mad/sad that he's no longer edgy anymore because all of society is edgyHonestly kind of interesting
>>716404210 (OP)>MUH HECKIMG TRUMPP NOO DONT MAKE FUN OF HIMMM ISRAEL SAVE MEEEE
>>716404210 (OP)south park was only funny when you were 12-16 years old
Why does this make Trumpies angry?
It's funny how fast the crowd who love offensive humour or whatever cope they say turn on it.
>>716409889Because they're NPC's that do whatever he wants and feel whatever he wants.
>>716409618You know, i never really thought about it. Cartman used to be a wild motherfucker by societal standards, he once fed some kid his parents ground up into chili. I wonder how long its been since he's been considered relatively tame? I guess around when Obama got into office? I feel like thats roughly when the eps started skewing more towards Randy and the adults
>>716404605turning him into osama bin laden or whoever satan's boyfriend is was such a lame deicision man
he's just a nothing president
I wish South Park took a jab at some devs in the gaming industry that deserve it. A Todd episode would be funny.
Didn't they spent an entire season seething at trump? And now they are back at it again?
>>716407547He's litigious and a crybaby faggot like scientology people.
>>716407547Reminder that the country found out about an elite pedophile ring and they haven't talked about it, just how much they hate trump. They're still mad they had to redo an episode in 2016.
>>716410145Yeah and this episode was him realizing it, society became like him so he's no longer special. There's a scene where he gets upset that mockingly calling Kyle a Jew no longer shocks people because everyone already mocks him with that
>>716410370Trump's not talking about it either so it's clearly not a big deal to anybody.
>>716409289>It was a weak responsethats what makes it so funny
the episode has trump throwing a fit whenever hes criticized and what does the white house do? stomp their feet and say that south park sucks and no one cares
>>716410370>This thing in my head actually happened bro!!The files didn’t exist.
>>716411031Why did he appoint people who promised them then?
>>716410145I feel it happened much earlier. I think I started drifting away from SP when they dropped alot of the absurdist or surreal humor elements. The boys felt more like mouthpieces for political nonsense or Trey/Matt themselves, rather than kids getting tangled up in their own little issues or the adults issues. Randy used to be somewhat sensible (again somewhat) and now his entire arc feels like one big cry for help, like he missed out on being a kid and wants to reclaim some of that old glory.
>>716410319The problem with me is he's actually suing companies like ABC, CBS and FOX who actually DO need a good legal spanking. Matt and Trey making fun of hik because of suing for perfectly legitimate reasons make them look out of touch. Small weewee? Every late night hack and NPClib has made that joke a million times. Where are the big guns?
>>716411104He needed people who weren’t compromised like in 2016, some of them are fucking retards.
>>716410370Personally I found Garrison as Trump being elected because of Memberberries thing far more interesting, as far as comedy with a point goes. It had something to say about the larger cultural context that got him elected. "Trump has a tiny dick" was completely played out ages ago.
>>716404605Really weird how biden didn't get same treatment.
>>716411205ok but get this: he’s orange
>>716404847>PHONE DESTROYEEEER
>>716411196Yea, watching the early seasons of the show while drinking recently really reminded me how wacky and retarded it used to be. Aliens, Satan and Sadam, etc. It used to be a fun show but it did become a political soap box for Matt and Trey ages ago, but that can't be helped - they got older, stopped doing drugs and got deeply involved in Hollywood. The saddest part is that we're still stuck with South Park as the central pillar of american satirical cartoons, because fucking nothing of value has been made in a decade+
>>716411205>Small weewee?yeah the difference is that they showed a deepfake with trump as a fat fuck with a microdick after calling him a retarded faggot repeatedly
>>716411205>it’s good for the sitting president to sue everyone he doesn’t like until they conform You know, we used to shit on China for less.
thinly veiled drumpf thread
>>716404210 (OP)I love that they even used the same voice as for Saddam Hussein.
>>716411104MAGA and the conservative blok aren't a cohesive unitary block like every political coalition it's a grouping of different people held together through a shared ideology and usually loathing for the alternative choice. In the case of Epstein Trump was milquetoast on the files, the clip of him promising the release during his campaign was cut short of him walking back on it, but different groupings in MAGA saw it as a good populist front, only Trump himself was mostly against the release but likely expected that he could quietly bury the story on a pile of other campaign promises, and of course his response has triggered an unprecedented backlash against him as it's the most clear cut case of denying something you promised on the campaign.

I feel like Comedy Central and media as a whole memoryholed all of Lil-Bush era comedy and forgot how quickly played out it became.
Criticize the president(s), but that can't be your WHOLE fucking thing.
>>716411534Technically that's not South Park's only thing but it's become one of their most prominent gags now that every episode is plot driven.
>>716411534>one episode, obviously baiting an early cancellation >whole fucking thingLolretard
>Make a deal with THQ to make a South Park game
>THQ dies, get the deal shiifted to Ubisoft
>Make two great turn based RPGs that are filled to the brim with "soul" and you can tell the devs actually like the show. They even emulates the shows visual style perfectly.
>THQ is back as THQ-Nordic. Decided to go back to them for a 3rd game
>They decide to drop the idea of emulating the show and go full 3D. It's no longer a turn based RPG, it's a triple A style'd 3D Action RPG PvE online multiplayer experience.
THQ-Nordic are a bunch of fucking hacks. How in the FUCK do you remaster Darksiders 2, but keep in all the bugs that crash the fucking game? At least the original release of it had an excuse for the bugs. The game was literally rushed out the door in an attempted to save the company. It was already too late mind you, THQ went under within a few months. They should've had all the god damn issues worked out for a HD release of it. Not only that, but the Darksiders games they've made have been complete trash. 3 was so bad I refused to even try genisys. No, I don't want to play a fuckng top down Diablo like. I'd just fucking play Diablo.
>>716410319It's less about Trump but more of a jab at Paramount. They are basically daring paramount to cancel them at this point.
>>716411624>>716411669Garrison Trump was a season + long thing, they even admit they were going to make a version where Hillary won. At the very least I wish they kept the Canadian Trump, I just get burnt out on Garrison more than Randy, because Garrison was also being used a lot when he was a tranny.
>>716411534>Apostrophe in the wrong spot in "Li'l"This is why the show failed.
>>716410145>>716410448It makes sense. Cartman used to be seen as shocking with his constant racism/sexism/antisemitism, but now you have people on social media that make those kind of statements every day.
OMG THEY MADE ANOHER TRUMP JOKE, LIKE THEY'VE BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST 8 YEARS?!!?!
SOUTH PARK IS LE HCKING GOOD AGAIN!!!
>>716411373>>716411479You can get that for free on bluesky
>>716411501To me it feels like they bought into the script of Trump getting the Late Night Show cancelled
>>716412176theres a difference between randoms online doing it and a popular show from a big streaming service doing it
I'll give them this, it feels like the first time in a long time they've actually taken full advantage of the fact they can crank these things out in like a week.
So why are rightcels so mad?
>>716412296they made fun of trump and jesus
>>716412075South Park itself simply isn't that edgy anymore. The ironic thing is that they're tacitly admitting it themselves.
>>716412369But rightcels love jews.
>>716412296Rightes love freedom of speech right about til they get control of the levers of power and then suddenly you have to obey muh patriot or you're a criminal.
>>716412075This conversation reminded me that I'm old enough to remember when Bart Simpsons was the badass, and then the world was shocked by how fucked up Cartman was and Bart just fell off entirely in that regard. Kids don't watch cartoons anymore so there has been a new "bad boy" character in ages, but its crazy to think of how long ago Cartman took that title - South Park is almost 30 years old at this point
>>716411534>No, you can't shit talk El Presedente!>Who cars if he ignored the 9/11 threats, who cares if he ignored all the advice about how trying to occupy Afghanistan would be pointless and a decade long quagmire, who cares if he started a war based 100% on lies, who cares if he crashed the econ world wide, who cares if he allowed the Patriot Act, who cares if he sold out the future of American children with the "No child left behind" act!Dubya deserved to be made fun of non stop. He still deserves to be shitted on, I don't care if he is a fucking goober who finger paints now. I'll put it like this, Bush Jr was such a profound fuck up, that America elected a no name nigger to be president.
Also, funny how you just ignore how Clinton was made fun of his whole time as President. Because he was always pretrayed as someone too busy having fun while his wife, the bitch Hilary nagged him to do things.
>>716409889Why did that feel an awful lot like something made by Fatal Farm?
>>716411362To be fair, Trump is THE content president. I'm not defending South Park, the quality of episodes had been going downhill long before this season. But it makes sense that it would feature Trump more.
>>716412398Freedom of speech was always just a cudgel to beat your political opponents with, libs only mistake was thinking anybody was going to keep playing by their wussy rules. Same with crypto rug pulls, no regulations so we can just do what we want. Survival of the fittest.
>>716412370They've been exhausted and working on this show out of a sense of duty/only for money for a very long time now. Think back to the episode where Stan thinks everything is shit and his parents broke up, that was a soft admission that they knew they were stale and going through the motions, but they kept going for like 15 years after that
My god emperor KING continues to make libtards seethe daily!
>>716412481I didn't say don't make fun of them, but can't do a season of the same joke and expect the same laughs. That's how you get sitcoms today.
I don't care if the butt of the joke is a literal shit eating retard, it's funny once or twice, maybe three times if the timing is right. But you can't rely on shit eating retard to sell you on a full season, that's retarded.
>>716412647Muhammed? He also fucks kids.
Everyone hates jews, you can call the president a retarded faggot and no one cares... What's even the point.
Made me lol out loud desu just because of how true it is. The only time a "metacommentary" made me giggle just bc of how much of a commentary on the state of the world and the constantly slipping paradigm it is.
All the old world values are inverted for better or worse. Feels almost satanic this way.
>>716409923It's fucking hilarious watching the MAGA base go from

>>716413079Because they talk about current events and nothing happened with Biden that was more interesting than debates over woke or the Ukraine war.
Like, people keep saying this but Biden was a fucking doormat. All that happened was that he’d trip up the stairs and get touchy with kids, but the list of controversies is far far below Clinton, Dubya, Obama, and Trump. It’s pretty much just his son being a crackhead that fucks hookers.
>>716412776South Park is a significant reason this culture exists. They made this bed and are terrified of laying in it
>>716411205>Matt and Trey making fun of hik because of suing for perfectly legitimate reasons make them look out of touch. They’re trying to paint Paramount like victims of political oppression when in reality the only reason they settled was so they could rush through a merger with Skydance to appease investors. Yes, Colbert was thrown under the bus not because the president threw a hissy fit but so they’d have more money to throw at throwaway slop for their awful streaming service, which is still somehow less profitable than just running the Late Show for the 10 boomers who still watch it. The political shit is just a nice cover for Paramount’s untempered greed.

>>716412541If they really are desperate to get cancelled for being edgy I think they're going to have to do better about actually being edgy. When at least half the country already lets Trump live rent free in their heads, shitting on him isn't exactly a contrarian take.
>>716413636It’s not about being contrarian, it’s that Trump is trigger happy to sue.
>>716413481i just recently watched every episode of south park, if it's not fading in relevance it fucking should be
it gets so terrible in the later seasons, and only keeps getting worse, i was just forcing myself through them by i think season 12?
just to make sure i wasn't insane, after watching them all i went back to season 1 and it was still hilarious, there was an innocence to the humor that's been lost, and this really applies to most of these shows, simpsons, family guy, south park, rick and morty, you name it they all suffer from it imo
>>716413270>>716413480No you can't make fun of the bideninrino he's old and means well. Only drumpf is allowed

>>716414185Maybe they want to die. Too bad for them that nothing ever happens
>>716414447Yeah because their idea of what makes Trump look good is what fellates Trumps ego, almost anyone more mild has been pushed aside by cronies and yesmen who recognize that that the best career choice is to curry favor with a transactional who you just fawn over publicly to get ahead over everyone who doesn't.
>>716408828>It made fun of Chuddies and Trunpk so NOW south park is bad according to them and not when the whole tegridy farms shit started.I wouldn't say it was when Tegrity Farms became a thing, but around when PC Principal appeared. He appeared when the town was starting to look hipper and more modern and was introduced as an antagonist to criticize the show itself, but he became so one-note he became boring, and his design doesn't fit with the rest of the town. I think I fully stopped watching it when Garrison was becoming a Trump parody because they were ignoring Garrison's own character and degeneracy for very low-hanging jokes and the Whites who was enabling that sort of character doesn't make any sense if you knew what Garrison would do for the show's entire run.

He didn't actually do anything crazy, nutty, or aggressive, so the most you can get out of it is like, a Mr. Magoo kind of parody that only appeals to conservatives that enjoy the equivalent of a newspaper political comic. Compare that to Trump being a hyper aggressive and fragile pedophile that's going after everybody and calling his own followers retards. That's way more to work with and appeals to way more people.

>>716416458What's the commentary with Trump and Satan? it's just shocking imagery
South Park stopped being funny back in 2021 back when real life became more ridiculous and retarded than parody. Also they already did a Garrison Trump bit and that was funny. Why did they retcon that and do the same Saddam Hussein jokes but in yet another Trump jokes skin? It just seems like South Park is grasping for relevance at this point. They had 4 years to make of fun of the worst president (2021 to 2024) and they didn't, and no him already being beaten down and pathetic is not an excuse and nor is any supposed "lack of content" about him. There was plenty of things to make fun of him for. South Park has had a history of being unhinged and making fun of everybody no matter what and they failed to delivery on that. And then when Paramount bought them out they dropped unoriginal overused rehashed jokes and made more of a self-own in it than anything with Cartman no longer being edgy or relevant. Cartman is just them for years. Real life is more unhinged and stupid and silly than parody and so South Park has suffered to have value anymore. And for context, I haven't voted at all since 2016. Didn't vote in 2020 and didn't vote in 2024. AIPAC controls both parties. I have no stake on the side of Trump, but I think the constant jabs at him are simply overdone and the left can't let go talking about him and hate him for all the wrong reasons. Only reason you should hate him is for bending the knee to Israel. A lot of things he has done in the interest of the country are long overdue. The seethe over Trump by the left was still there for Biden's entire term. And when Trump won, over 2000 lefties offed themselves. South Park also hasn't had any good video games after Stick of Truth and Fractured But Whole. You can't just back out on making fun of one president for 4 years and just rehash jokes on the other president that you already made fun of, when you have a history of not holding back and making fun of everybody. Should really throw this on /co/ btw

dont get me wrong i dont want us to be giving 'international aid' to ANYONE. but i especially dont want to be giving it to israel. if they want to maintain control over their little shithole strip next to the mediterranean, they can do it themselves. every fucking politician calls them our 'greatest ally' but as far as i can tell they're our greatest parasite. what the fuck has israel ever done for the USA besides leech away our money and military technology while infiltrating our governmental media and financial institutions with zionist jews whose sole agenda, as observed over decades, has been to keep the gravy train rolling?
do we import something highly necessary for our lives for very very cheaply thanks to our paying for israel's continued existence? fuck no
does israel actually defend us against an enemy in exchange for us propping them up? fuck no, the middle east is of no actual threat to us
does israel provide us with large amounts of important intelligence or some shit like that? fuck no, the mossad doesnt even cooperate with the cia/fbi/et cetera
israel does absolutely fucking NOTHING to earn that 3.8 billion and the only reason it happens is because jews loyal to israel infiltrated our government and hijacked it to make it happen. fuck israel and fuck those jews, we should be deporting those treasonous fucks to israel just like how we're deporting browns back to south of the border. the fact that trump's balls shrived up and retreated into his scrotum when it came to giving jews the boot while he was fine with giving browns the boot makes me sick
