>>plagiarize steal other peoples work
>>put AI artwork over it, plagiarizing even more peoples work in the process
If a person takes inspiration from someone else's artwork, even if they produced works blatantly based on that other person's style, it would not amount to stealing.
This is such a silly line of argument and yet it's some how so pervasive. You have rights in the works you produce and you have rights for those works not to be copied 1 to 1. You do not have the right to prevent someone from making a completely new work with your work.
>if you want to be a corpo kissass
The irony is AI is for the masses. It's for people who don't have the time to spend years of their life developing a skill, and for people who never had the childhood that would let them explore and cultivate those skills in the first place.
Whenever anything is available to the masses, people are always going to misuse it, people are always going to use it poorly, this is not something to be mad about. The majority of photographs taken on smartphones have no artistic merit, and lets face it a good chunk of all photos ever taken are just porn, but you're not mad that everyone has access to high quality cameras. Why would you choose to be mad about people having access to image generation?
