That's a huge if. Outside of powerscaling lalaland, in comics Thor very seldomly showcases the capability (or willingness) to evade blows, even if these blows obviously damage him.
And I don't think you can blame it on wonky characterization if this happens pretty much across every book and every writer that had/wrote Thor.

I see what you're getting at with the first point, at the end of the day it all goes back to comics working on pro-wrestling logic and fight outcomes being determined by plot necessity first and actual hard stats and powers second. Otherwise you're left wondering whether that random ass guy who beat the shit out of Thor is capable of lifting Jormungandr as Thor did.

Which kind of doesn't make a lot of sense, does it? Like, what even is the point of hitting someone with a hammer if your fists can do the job just as well? It gets even muddier when you remember the numerous times when Thor has been KOd by his own hammer. Or the times when people obviously weaker than Thor weren't one-tapped by Mjolnir when Thor wasn't pulling his punches (like with Iron Man)
