Both Gerson and the Prophecy indicate Asgore will be pretty pivotal to chapter 5 and while Toby's great at intentional mood whiplash I doubt Asgore will be like "whoopsie doopsie I dropped this knife while desperately seeking escape from my miseries ha ha what a clutz".
