I wouldn't say better, it can be pretty awkward and empty like the kakegurui scene where they use the star vs artstyle. Its one of my favorite styles done right though, pop'n music is a goldmine of cute japanese cartoon designs and animations and i'd love more japanese cartoon stuff like that.
