For you 22 LR users out there. I found this guy who makes high velocity (& subsonic), solid copper, flat nose rounds in 22 LR. The solid copper body is machined. These are made for extreme long range 22 LR shooting, but the 32 grain ones will chamber in any normal 22 LR firearm. The bullets are manufactured by Cutting Edge Bullets, just fyi.

For those of you who understand, there's nothing out there like this on the market for 22 LR. Totally unique. The solid copper body is harder than lead, so it won't deform on impact (it'll punch through) and the flat nose improves penetration as well. Plenty of testing has been done on both solid copper bullets and flat nose bullets. The results speak for themselves. Plenty of solid copper rounds have popped up for predator defense in other calibers, but not 22 LR (until now). In all the research I have done, within the context of little rounds like 22 LR, you either have reliable penetration or expansion, usually not both. These rounds were not designed for self defense, but they happen to be uniquely suited for it and since they're essentially match grade rounds, they're kind of a cool find. I got some and have been quite pleased with them. Not here to get into it with fudds who can't fathom 22 LR as a self defense round or using anything other than heavy, hard cast lead. Just passing on a good find.
