What makes you think I'm crying or that I would want to go to /pol/
Also, Slavs aren't white? Extremely interesting opinion.
I remember when I was very young, Italians were considered a type of colored folk. It was hard getting good eating back then, Italian eateries were a blessing then. I feel so spoiled now, it's not hard at all to find good ethnic food anywhere you go. I especially love that spicy Korean stuff.
The Orthodox folk have believed themselves for thousands of years to be an island of true Christianity surrounded by a sea of Saracens and Latinates. Many Eastern Slavs, today's Russians and Ukrainians, believed for the longest time that they were surrounded on all sides by Satan; it influences popular Russian rhetoric to this day, but one would need that fact pointed out to them by a Russian, as it was to me. It was almost universal in the medieval Christian psyche to believe that the end times were coming any day now. Daesh shared that belief, as do, I believe, the Salafi. They were flushed out of their holdings, Daesh, but they still exist, in what they call the Khorasan region. Graveyard of empires. I wish I had been there, with the hippies, before the Taliban took over. But alas.
