Dig deeper though, and you'll find that Canada and America have probably the most complex and interesting dynamic of any of the nation-tans
For one, America is the best. That's a fact, and it's a problem.
Most hetaloid brains are busted by nature, but America's on another level as a dude whose already schizo/bipolar brain had been fried by attaining the apex of global power.
Boundless energy, ultimate power, deep-fried attention span. Absolutely exasperating.
America already knows you love him; and if you don't, he'll make you.
Obnoxiously competitive and domineering, always aiming to win and fuck and destroy.
Highly charismatic, but superficially so, sometimes unnervingly fake.
Sometimes he's cool and chill because he genuinely doesn't give a fuck.
Sometimes he spends the whole morning practicing his wink and smile in the mirror
America's the best, just a fact.
Especially compared to his brother.
When America thinks of Canada, it's with great warmth and fondness. But also the purest condescension.
The 51st state isn't a serious country to him
Then there's Canada, one of the most subtle and complex personalities of all the nation-tans: unloved and attention-starved, his deepest relationship is with his brother, a guy so into himself that he barely remembers anything about him.
Kind and quiet on the one hand, bitter and resentful on the other, with a deeply wounded ego from being the nobody brother to the magnetic, highly accomplished, most powerful nation on earth, living in a constant cycle of holding a moral high horse over America, then realizing only too late, then forgetting all too quickly, the fact that they're really more alike than they are different.
Canada's no saint, except that it's America who has the fame and the power and the respect despite being the bigger asshole.
Canada constantly says that he doesn't need America, but always wants his attention and melts over the slightest bit of his affection, and even rarer, his esteem
