I don't mind a fight focus as long as you try to emulate Toriyama 's style of drawing fights. Fighting and Dragon Ball are intrinsically linked. This is the fight series. Although dbz was very good at building up to fights. For as stupid as it may seem, "hype" and buildup to a fight are almost as important as the fight itself. It seems I am one of few people who realize this . No one cares about two nobodies fighting even if it looks cool. You have to know exactly what's at stake a bit of the history behind the two people. Give me some feats. Compare them to other guys. Toriyama was a fucking master at this. Buu one shotting dabura is a good example. This is hard to do especially in a fan manga setting where people do this as a hobby and don't expect much financial compensation. Of course not everyone is able to do what you're describing. It's debatable how much of what you're describing was in the original manga. Of course, things could always be more inspired and have more mythological roots (except journey to the west. That gets referenced enough). Fights by comparison are easy. A monkey can imagine a fight.
Jiji certainly snuck in a lot of pantyshots. I wish he leaned more into the ryona angle but I guess he couldn't find trace material for that. Gripi should have molested him or touched him inappropriately. That would have been funnier. Imagine a dbz fight where there's a threat of fucking rape if you lose.
