I had problems right from the go.
Fresh out of the box, my charging handle had terrible binding and the bolt wouldn't even rack all the way to the rear.
It was both the shit design of the charging handle/op rod itself, and the terrible design of the recoil spring setup. Instead of any of the better designs found in any number of other rifles that have attempted a similar bufferless setup, they went for a truly atrocious and cheap nested spring on a tiny guide rod inside the upper receiver. The coils get all bunches up and interfere with one another. Pair it with a poorly thought out charging handle and if everything doesn't work exactly so it can be literally impossible to charge.
I had to completely disassemble, clean, and re-lube everything then rack it about 200 times and strip+clean again before I could even get it to charge reliably.
I bought the 12.5" upper with the adjustable gas block from Rainier. First range trip, I only got about 15 rounds in before I started having malfs. Once they started, they didn't stop. Every round or every other round it would fail to eject, fail to feed, etc. Couldn't even get though a second mag before I gave up, because the charging handle and bolt started to bind again and it wouldn't even work if manually charged between shots.
So I opened a warranty claim and shipped it back, shipping cost was on me. I emailed back and forth with their customer service and they made me describe the problem 2-3 times even though I wrote everything in detail on the warranty form. I used their suggested magazines, good ammo, etc. They sent me a video of a shop employee putting a full mag through it without a stoppage, and shipped it back to me without apparently doing anything. Once I got it back, it charged easier, so they must have at least cleaned and lubed it again.
Second range trip went much the same as my first. As soon as the rifle got any fouling at all, about 15, rounds in, it started to choke. Same issues as before.
