Nah it's dogshit. Tries way too hard to be "cool" but it ended up looking like a vomit-inducing design that does not fit MH. They didn't even bother trying to make a sense out of his design. Like, why do we put a jetpack on a dragon? Just because, i suppose.
Coincidentally my favourite monster is Gore. Not only he introduced a completely new skeleton to the franchise, his design was well thought all the way down to the music. Unlike Valstrax who's cool for the sake of being cool. Gore's design has a lot of involvement in the ecology of things.
