The ジョリジョリジョリ isn't "jolly jolly jolly", but "jolie jolie jolie", as in the French word for beautiful or lovely. That's because... the original song is actually from 1959, by Frenchman Bourvil.

It's funny that the Japanese made it into a daytime children's song about "yummy healthy fruit salad", because if you listen to the original French lyrics, I think he's singing about a different sort of plump fruit...
