That's it. That's literally the answer to every xenophobic reaction ever. It does not matter what ethnicity it is, if too many of them move somewhere then there will be a negative reaction to it. Even Australians with English ancestry will complain about "Pom" (Aussie slang for Brits) immigrants sometimes.
People overcomplicate this topic for assorted retarded reason, but it's just that: Americans were xenophobic to Irish and Italians because millions of Irish and Italians showed up and they had a foreign culture
