No one wants to do that. Co-op gameplay /= needing teammates to deal with bullshit enemies. Having teammates simply makes things easier and faster to deal with. Let it drag me around, but let me fight back or at least assess the situation. You're treating players like wounded animals, when they are supposed to be soldiers so determined to kill the enemy they will die trying.
