I rolled generalist as my starting class and holy shit is the world biased against me. I want to know a little bit about theology, a little bit about physics, a little bit about mathematics, history, economics, and so on ... I don't want to focus on a career or dedicate 60 hour weeks to any specific subject or niche. This somehow makes me unemployable for any salaried position. For the few hourly ones I am qualified for, this causes my managers to hate me as I am always thinking about something other than my job. They want me to shut my mind off and focus on a small set of repeating problems 8 hours a day and 52 weeks a year.
