It's a bit complicated. I occasionally come to these threads from time to time.
Long story short, I'm an anon living in Japan, and I'm working on getting a manga published. I enjoy TCGs as well. This TCG idea is more of a side project for this manga specifically. Not as a "have to do it goal" but more as a means to organize my ideas as a Worldbuilding project. It's strange, but game design and thinking of things in game terms helps me tie certain Worldbuilding aspects when you get too caught up in Narrative.
Idk if this TCG would ever get made or not, it's more of a "if the manga gets popular, maybe I'll pitch the proposal to my editor and take it from there."
I sometimes come back to work on this idea from time to time in between draft submissions while I wait to hear back from my editor. It's mostly cause I enjoy game design, and it's a neat WBing exercise, especially when it comes to designing cards and such. I get to think more deeply about the types of people who live in this setting outside of the main characters.
