What a fucking stupid comparison. Luke Skywalker flew an X-Wing and was taking orders. General Jan Dodonna and Princess Leia were the highest ranking members. Leia had the fucking schematics on her person at the beginning of the movie. They would have reviewed the technical schematics, weapon capabilities, and crew/population with extreme detail. Luke Skywalker didn't know jackshit and would have only received basic mission briefing info since he joined at the last fucking second.

Imagine them getting ready to launch their mission and someone asking one of the admirals what the personnel situation on the death star was like, and they didn't fucking know.
