I think the fun is about experiencing things alongside other people. No one wants to be an ugly duckling that's the only one to be going through progression. On a meme server like v3 this becomes severe because of single digit playerbase, on a good server like MyRO it's not a big issue because a couple of people are always starting out and are new.
