That's how you stay sane in this fandom, innit? Keeping things compartmentalised so that the good ideas don't eat one another. Me, I've got, what, 3 separate instances? Of which one is the pure, canonical Gensokyo, exactly as presented by official material and unstained by any of my fancy-schmancy overinterpretations. So, while the idea of, say, Futo being Tojiko's mother (as per the relation of their historical inspirations) is just too fun to pass up, you won't catch me performing the mental gymnastics to contravene what has been plainly stated to the contrary. Just easier to say it's my headcanon and have it both ways. A lot of stuff like that out there.
