I feel like it’s actually Gumball that ruined them, thanks to Gumball the zoomers idea of "pushed expressions" is making faces that look like forced attempts at creating memes rather than naturally expressive Looney Tunes/Ren & Stimpy-like wackiness. Gumballs expressions would look better if they made the full body emote rather than just the faces, like ffs draw a new head shape rather than just drawing a new face if you want to properly push expressions.
