Realistically, what would happen if Superman showed up to a warzone, disarmed both sides and made everyone shake hands? He doesn't kill anyone, he doesn't become a dictator, he just takes away all their guns and bombs before wagging his finger at them and returning to the Fortress of Solitude. And he keeps coming back to do it every single time a conflict starts. What would the global reaction be? Obviously everyone would hate it, but what could they do? He's Superman. And technically he's just helping people. Would a government call a meeting and say "Superman, it's bad that you're disarming our soldiers. You have to let us keep killing people"?
