I have 60 hours of Strive, mainly playing against my friends and never really bothered much with training mode or learning the game properly. With the ranked mode coming later this month, I'm interested in finally putting some work into it and can't decide between picking May or Unika. I like them both equally, so which one do you guys recommend for a player who is about to sit down and learn the basics of the game and all that?

As a Brazilian trying to get into fighting games, I feel very discouraged when the only games I can properly fight others in are SF6 and T8. Strive I can find people playing in the park at times, but I just get raped and destroyed. Every other game I have to wait forever to get a match and when I do (BBCF and GBVSR) the ping is almost always 160+. I really don't want to join a discord server for this, but it seems I have no other choice. Just venting a little.
