I might be biased because half of my family was commies but i generally think that late communism was a perfect system. It transformed with time into something similar to national socialism but withouth all these genocidal and crazy volk-elements present in German national socialism. Poland gained massively thx to communism. Illiteracy was fully eradicated, infant mortality reduced to zero (while it skyrockets today due to "vaccines"). Dumb catholic superstitious crowd was forced to go to real schools. We had African tier birth rates back then so we didnt need any "immigrants". We had very strong patriotic and militarist ethos based on cult of fitness, health and national unity. Poland was 5th biggest producer of weapon in the world back then. We were pretty much autarkic, we produced everything domestically, including computers and electronics. My great-grandmom gave first name Gierek to her adopted child to honour legendary comrade Gierek. It was golden period for Poles.

Everything was better back then, even music.
