not that they'd explicitly be groomed or raped, but that it was unsafe especially under the circumstances... beyond the reality of a child being functionally retarded and open to deception, even truly innocent casual chat about day-to-day activities could be intercepted by hostiles and used against the colony. my children would have better opsec than this, if they got molested or lured away then it would be with some sort of Ocean's 11 heist and not because their new friend the raider/archotech/creepjoiner asked them to come open the front gates so they could play together.
