i've completed the radiator replacement job. here's a comparison of the new (left) and old (right) rads. the old one was so brittle that merely touching the slats would crumble it away.
i idled the engine for a little while with the heater on max. new thermo is also working, however the fan didn't spin. it's plugged in but i'm not sure why it didn't seem to be working.
