the absolute biggest problem is the firmware implementation and the eternal cucking of pixel refreshes which can and will interrupt your usage if the implementation is bad
then you have brands not willing to give you control over certain settings like disabling pixel shift and people like LG that have weird vignetting edge dimming that can't be disabled outside of their service menu that resets every time, but on the same panel on another model by Asus they actually show you the setting
Asus seems to be one of the only consistent manufacturer that actually gives you most settings
then you still have the problems of vrr flicker, color fringing due to the subpixel layout, possible eye strain, possible black screening due to bad hardware implementations/software/overheating panels/bad unit and more things I forgot to deal with
if you manage to beat/dodge all these then maybe it will be good for you, or you will find the brightness lackluster and not much different than a good ips in bright scenes
if you want better hdr you either have to buy a miniled monitor or high end 55"+ oled tv

>brand is irrelevant
brand is most important when it comes to oled, for example the AOC monitor that severely fucked up the hdr color gamut even more, they also have bad pixel refresh implementation

>they're all samsung panels.
you forgot lg
