Yes. Observe the following facts,
1. Most kaigai nikki are clip watchers, they are not nihongo jouzu, this is how they watch the Japs
2. Of those people, the majority did not know Shion was re-debuting because they aren't in Japanese social media circles and websites, that clip was likely how they first found out
3. The clip has high engagement bait, people commenting, "OMG she's back," "Wait who is this?" and so on, so because of those extra comments it gets extra push in the algorithm leading to more views leading to more comments leading to more push and more views. Actual streams do not get that kind of push in the algorithm based on engagement.
This is like saying, "Korone's most-watched clip is 3.5m views but her streams average 250k lately WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO?"

how do you casually research a topic? like if you want to get deep you get some primary and secondary source books and read them, but just to get a general overview of the terrain before you get deep like that. just a google search a couple of links? wikipedia? google scholar to check a couple of top papers?
