You know recently I rewatched the Death of Trixie Lulamoon and what Shining Armor said to Twilight about her relationship with Trixie put things in interesting context.
>"Look, I already talked with Mom and Dad, and they're fine with you liking girls. Lesbians, are smoking hot, but like the least you could do is be the Man in the relationship."
>"Twilight its over, you need to own this. You have to establish yourself as the Stallion in this relationship, because right now you're looking like a bitch."
If Twilight got with Rarity Twilight would most certainly be the "Stallion" in the relationship but even though Rarity has submissive tendencies she has enough self respect now that she wouldn't let Twilight walk all over her like Trixie does with Twilight. Also Shining (I hope he comes back), and Twilight's parents would more approve of Twilight's relationship with Rarity as even though Rarity is 10 years older than Twilight she's white and would be the "Mare" in their relationship so Twilight's parents would approve.
I don't think Rarity should be with Applejack either, as I am confident that AJ would be abusive.
