I just told you, hackers cracked the specific engine COD uses and since the devs never update it, hackers get to fuck with the game on day 0, during the public beta. Cold War onwards the hackers bend the game over any way they wanted and there is nothing the devs or Activision can do about. Forget about playing games even older than Cold War, that's when the danger of remote hacks are not just present but expected and Activision/Microsoft won't do jack shit about it.
COD is one of the few franchises where just firing it up is quite literally a danger to your hardware, you don't even need to get into the game, you can get fucked with the moment you connect to the central server as hackers have access to that info too.
