I get why people don't like the format but I love the chapter because of how much characterization we get, especially for Ralsei. The part where he can play as Kris is really sweet and melancholy. It is thus also a good Susie chapter because of how she plays off Ralsei.
It doesn't solve a bunch of mysteries but that's okay, also it sets up our goal for the rest of the game so far which is to open the shelter and beat that deer's ass
