i'm really really not a fan of identity/ego death unless it serves some point in a plot. 2hu-ifying as pure fetish fuel doesn't count because that usually ends up as gross rather than anything else, it's too overtly pornographic and turns me off instantly if i'm ever reading it. it has to have a point, sort of like that one kasen short had a conclusion of the twin supposedly living with kasen & becoming a hermit. i guess if someone decides to write a ran tf then identity death makes sense given the whole shikigami ritual shtick, or something nasty involving seiga, but that's more body horror

but uhhh since the gun is against my head i'll go with memory loss since i'm a terrible actor and all the other options would lead to me dying very quickly
