So I sold a Yujiro recently, and the buyer complained about a weird smell when he opened it. It turns out the anti-flammable and anti-microbial coating the clothes are treated with persisted for this long, despite it standing outside the box the whole time. A single day accumulated enough of it in the plastic casing to turn it into a stinker upon unpacking. I quickly checked my battle-damaged one that was packed the whole time, and yep, it's also a stinker. The smell naturally dissipates after half a day on its own if you leave it outside, but it will 100% of the time ruin a first impression. My tip is to not leave the pants and shirt on at all if you pack them up and place them into the separate bag with the little weird anti-smelly thingy that it came with. It doesn't negate it completely, but it does absorb most of it. The figure has been outside the box for a day now, and the smell is pretty much gone completely.
