have you ever tried getting into mods?
stuff like "tale of two wastelands", "NVB" and overseer's mods are godlike, even though their first ones are somewhat ameteurish.
there are dozens of really good lore-friendly quest mods that sometime add DLC sized game spaces and tons of equipment, clothes and guns.
whenever i start an F3 or FNV run i just can't even play it vanilla anymore, mostly because i've seen every quest about twenty times already, quest mod greatly alleviate the problem, especially since new ones come out every few months
