I finished Gates to Infinity. Having previously played Super, Sky, and RTDX, that means I finished every main PMD game in one way or another. Nice to check that off my bucket list.

I've been sharing my thoughts on the game in the general so far, so I won't repeat too much. Overall, my gripes mainly are with the gameplay. The story and characters are mostly good. I appreciate the themes that the game tackles (and I'll admit I teared up at one point because the message hit hard for me personally), but the message really could've been handled better. Mainly, the characters constantly tell you that the world is growing dark and cold since there's so much hatred and distrust among people, but the game never shows this to you. Aside from a few crooks and villains, everyone is super friendly, which weakens the story's core message.

Some thoughts on the ending sequence:
Dragon Dance is OP and let me obliterate Kyurem and even the Bittercold with no effort. And Kyurem's boss theme is literally just Duel of the Fates, which made me laugh.
I enjoyed the part where the hero is overwhelmed but gets a second wind by hearing the voices of his friends cheering him on. It's cliche but cool.
It was strange how you fight the final boss by yourself. I know the partner's weakened by the Winds of Despair, but it would've been nice to have the duo fight together one last time.
The V-Wave was my type when I faced the Bittercold, which was kino. I like to imagine Victini adjusted the V-Wave to help the hero for the final battle.
Lastly, the fact that everyone is doomed to forget the hero when he leaves is very cruel. It never happens in any other games, and I don't think the Voice ever explains why the hero must be forgotten, so it kinda feel like it was just thrown in as an extra emotional gut punch. Even so, the final frism message was very nice and touching.

I'll play the postgame later, and share more updates when I do.
