Tonight I cooked a spaghetti sauce but it turned out to smell and taste exactly like a crab boil (particularly, it tasted and smelled like Old Bay). What the fuck happened?
The recipe:
Ground beef
Fresh Onion
Fresh Garlic
Fresh Thyme
Fresh Rosemary
Worcestershire
Apple Cyder Vinegar
Red pepper flakes
Crushed tomato
Tomato paste
1 fresh tomato
Yellow onions
S&P
Baking Soda (to cut the acidity of the tomatoes)
I just don't understand how these ingredients could produce the smell/taste of old bay or a crab boil. Did I accidentally stumble upon the old bay recipe?
