I think Xros Wars gets more flak than it deserves. It was nice to go back to a kind of slapstick style writing in Xros Wars even if the rest wasn't great, and the fusion gimmick allowed a lot of lower tier Digimon to be used in the story as well. I liked Darknightmon and the Aeroplane Greymon a lot too.
