I just miss the david and goliath style of, youre just a dude who is slow, weak, vulnerable, fighting a fucking dragon that can kill you easily, but through skill you can dodge and position and slowly wear it down, each flinch feeling impactful.
nu MH is just ayylmao all over it with magic dodges and parries, non stop flinches and no sense of danger. Poor monsters feel like victims, and the only way for them to challenge us now is deliberate artificial difficulty BS
